. i want to go back to the attacks on israel and gaza. the u.n. security council now holding an emergency closed door session about the crisis. member nations called for this. maximum restraints so the situation does not deteriorate any further. the big fear is that the escalating violence could echo the 2008 war that led to israel's land invasion of gaza. the year-long war killed some 1,400 palestinians and israeli. fred joining us from jerusalem. fred, first of all, we saw the israeli prime minister benjamin netanyahu speaking earlier about the escalating violence, the tension here. here's what he said. >> no government would tolerate a situation where nearly one-fifth of its people live under a constant barrage of rockets and missile fire, and israel will not tolerate this situation. this is why my government has instructed the israeli defense forces to conduct surgical strikes against a terrorist infrastructure in gaza. >> here's how hamas responded in their press conference today. >> some think it is easy to kill people in gaza, it is easy to enter gaza, it is easy to do

'm happy to have that discussion with them but for them to go after the u.n. ambassador, who had nothing to do with benghazi? and was simply making a presentation based on intelligence that she had received, and besmirch her reputation? is outrageous. and, you know, we're after an election now. i think it is important for us to find out exactly what happened in benghazi and i'm happy to cooperate in any ways that congress wants. we have provided every bit of information that we have and we will continue to provide information and we've got a full-blown investigation and all that information will be disgorged to congress. and i don't think there is any debate in this country when you have four americans killed that's a problem and we've got to get to the bottom of it and there needs to be accountability. we've got to bring those who carried it out to justice. ing they won't get any debate from me on that. but when they go after the u.n. ambassador, apparently because they think she is an easy target, then they have got a problem with me. and should i choose, if i think that she would be t

it is pound the table buy. here's your problem. they missed the street two quarters in a row. very un-apple like. if this was steve jobs era the street would overlook that. they would be times report under steve jobs something would miss. always a component problem. he always got the benefit of the doubt. i think initially tim cook did but i'm not sure that is the case now. he has to prove you know what, i can kind of carry the ball. other than that the stock obviously is cheap from most traditional valuation metrics. even at 700 you could argue it was cheap by the way you would typically judge a stock. the earnings estimates for next year come down to 50 bucks from 52.50. the street is very antsy on it right now. although you had two up grids this summer, stiffle and ubs on the. tracy: you're at 549 now. you potentially say would you short it? >> i wouldn't short it. i wouldn't get that cute with it. i have it in my retirement account as a matter of fact,. tracy: you would go with it. >> that is the downside risk. that is the number it must absolutely hold or something is wrong. trac
